South Dakota Voices for Children: Our Work: Children's Health

Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP): Because access to health care supports healthy growth and development, South Dakota Voices for Children works to assure access to health coverage for all children. Voices successfully advocated at the state and federal levels for South Dakota's participation in the CHIP program at 200 percent of poverty level. Voices also worked with existing systems to increase participation by eligible children. Voices continues to advocate for reauthorization of CHIP that meets the needs of South Dakota children.
Tobacco-free kids: South Dakota Voices for Children is a member of the South Dakota Tobacco-Free Kids Network and supports the network's policy positions.
