Huron Friend-Raising Event

The Coffee Tree coffee shop was the site of an April 16 friend-raiser in Huron, hosted by Joanne Groves, a member of South Dakota Voices for Children's Board of Directors, and Rhonda Kludt, a friend of Voices. Voices' executive director presented a brief program that drew the attention of those who attended.

Susan Randall (at right) explains Voices' outreach and advocacy efforts, while Huron Friend-raising co-host Joanne Groves listens. Randall holds a bookmark that Voices distributes to call attention to its Bridge to Benefits website that can link people in need with resources.

Maddy Gohn (right), a member of South Dakota Voices for Children's Youth Advisory Council, is a sophomore at Huron High School. As Joanne Groves (left) and others listened attentively, she described Council members' efforts to improve safe teen driving in South Dakota.
